Summer Evening Writing Workshop August 9 at Garfield Farm Museum

Campton Hills, IL-  On Tuesday  August 9 at 7 pm Crystal Hollis, MA will conduct a creative writing workshop with the sights and sounds of a summer's evening at Garfield Farm Museum.

Class may be held in the recently restored 1842 threshing barn. The massive western doors of the barn will with hopefully frame a sunset evening view over the woods and hills of Campton. Inspiration may also come from the farm's animals as they settle down for the night.

Participants should bring a pen, paper, bottled water, comfortable shoes for walking, favorite insect repellant and dress accordingly for the weather.   All experience levels are welcome to participate in this writing skills session.  Ms. Hollis has studied under several published authors and earned her MA in Creative Writing in London. Participants may also bring works they currently have in progress.

Interested persons should contact info@garfieldfarm.org or call 630-584-8485 for reservations. There is a $8 donation to the museum for the workshop. Garfield Farm Museum is located at 3N016 Garfield Road in Campton Hills, IL off IL Rt. 38.
