Spring Creative Writing Workshop April 26

Perhaps the greatest muse of all, springtime, is just what aspiring writers can experience on Sunday April 26, 1 pm at Garfield Farm Museum for an afternoon of creative writing led by Crystal Hollis, MA. The open prairie and woods, the in-progress restoration of the timber framed 1842 barn, and the relaxed setting amongst the farm animals offer an experience unknown to many in modern life.

All experience levels are welcome to participate in this writing skills session. Ms. Hollis has studied under several published authors and earned her MA in Creative Writing in London. Her fall workshop was very well received and the very vocal Narragansett turkeys were subjects of several of the day’s writings.

Participants should bring a pen, paper, a bottle of water, and comfortable shoes for walking. The workshop is ideally suited for high school students and adults. Interested persons should contact info@garfieldfarm.org or call 630 584-8485. There is a $6 donation to the museum for the seminar. Garfield Farm Museum is located at 3N016 Garfield Road in Campton Hills, IL.
